Ingredients

Scale

Apple Pie Filling:
5 apples, green cook best
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp butter
Cornstarch to thicken (about 2 tsp)
Splash of water
-Bake at 400f for about 15 minutes stirring halfway through. You can also cook down over stove top. Once done pop into the freezer to cool off while you prep the rest of your ingredients-

Egg Roll Ingredients:
Egg roll wraps (found in the refrigerator section)
Cream cheese (1-2 tbsp per egg roll)
Cinnamon & sugar mixture to roll finished egg rolls in

Instructions

Once your apple pie filling is cool, lay out your egg roll wrapper and layer 1-2 tbsp of cream cheese then 1-2 tbsp apple pie filling. Roll up according to instructions on back of package. To seal egg roll shut I put a little bit of egg white on the corner before rolling up the last corner. Fry in hot oil – about 3/4 minutes each side. Remove and roll in cinnamon sugar immediately. Enjoy with caramel dipping sauce or whatever you like!

Notes

  • Granny Smith apples cook best for dessert recipes like this one
  • after baking apple pie filling let it fully cool off before loading up the egg roll wrapper
  • egg whites to seal egg roll wrapper
