Description
Apple Pie / Apple Crumble has always been one of my favorites! I make it every year around apple picking season and this year I decided to try it out on a sheet pan. Super easy, so delicious and minimal mess.
Ingredients
8 medium baking apples, i recommend Gala or Fuji
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
Preheat oven 425F. Peel and core the apples, then cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Place apple slices on sheet pan and toss with the lemon juice, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 2 tbsp melted butter, 1 tsp cinnamon, and pinch of salt. Spread apples evenly and cover with foil before popping into the oven. Bake for 20 minutes. While making make your crumble with the rest of the ingredients. Scatter on top of the apple base and bake for another 15 minutes! Serve immediately with ice cream.
