  • Author: Garianne Gagliardi

Sesame Chicken Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • sesame seeds

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt + pepper to taste

  1. Grab 3 large shallow bowls for the dipping process. Bring the chicken tender to the egg, flour, and then panko – repeat with the rest of the chicken.
  2. Transfer the chicken tenders to a baking sheet lined with foil and rack. Bake for 20 minutes.
  3. While waiting mix sauce ingredients won’t be cornstarch and water mixed separately and set aside. Add the sauce to the stovetop over medium heat – now add the cornstarch + water mix to thicken the sauce. Remove from heat once thick.
  4. Remove chicken tenders from the oven and toss in the sauce! Pair with rice or whatever you like.
  5. Garnish with more sesame seeds if desired and enjoy!
