Viral Pastina Soup AKA Italian Penicillin!

There’s tons of recipes you can find for this viral beauty. I made a massive batch to have on hand, a bit thicker than normal and also added some heat to it.



1 onion
2 celery stalks
3 large carrots
5 garlic cloves
1 bay leaf
Bone broth (to your liking)
Filtered water (to your liking)
Salt + pepper
Red pepper flakes
Grated parm cheese


Add onion, celery, carrots, garlic, bay leaf, bone broth and filtered water to a pot. Let boil and soften. Once soft (about 20-30 min) transfer all ingredients to a blender (remove the bay leaf!) and blend until creamy. Add back into the pot and now add your pastina. Cook pastina through and serve with fresh grated parm on top
