Classic Chia Pudding

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups milk (dairy or dairy-free)
½ cup chia seeds
1 to 2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of cinnamon
Optional toppings: fresh fruit, nuts and seeds.

Base: puréed strawberries


Instructions

Add the chia seeds, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla to a bowl or jar and stir together. Let sit for 20 minutes in fridge, then stir again once the seeds have started to gel. While waiting purée your strawberries (or fruit of choice) and layer into the bottom of your airtight container. Next add chia seeds on top. Seal and store in the fridge for up to a week. When ready to eat add your favorite fruit, nuts, seeds and spices.
