Balsamic Strawberry Crostinis

Take your appetizer recipes to the next level with this 15-minute delicious crostini that combines juicy strawberries with a syrupy balsamic reduction.




  • ½ cup strawberries – chopped
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp. ricotta
  • ½ baguette



  1. Slice the baguette into ½-inch thick slices. Toast them at 350 F. for 5 minutes
  2. While they toast, chop strawberries and start the balsamic reduction.
    1. In a small saucepan, add balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Reduce the vinegar over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 6-8 minutes, until the consistency is thick.
  3. Combine strawberries and lemon zest, pour the balsamic reduction sauce into your measuring cup or bowl, and gently stir.
  4. Remove toasts from the oven and add a little ricotta to each, then carefully add the balsamic strawberries – and enjoy!
